British Study Finds Most People Dislike Clowns

A study undertaken at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom finds that most people are bothered by clowns and images of clowns. They placed pictures of clowns on hospital walls and discovered that almost all of the children that were exposed to the images had a negative reaction to them. Researchers report that many of the children described the clowns as freightening, creepy, and scary and they generally are made uncomfortable by them and are uncertain and ill at ease around them.
